This is proof I don’t need meat for protein.  I’m so tired of people asking me if I get enough protein as a vegetarian. 
Hello, are you getting enough fruits and veggies only eating meat????

First of all, I don’t know any humans who are carnivores and eat nothing but meat. We are omnivores and split our meals between proteins (meat/fish), grains, and fruits/vegetables. What do the %s even stand for in that chart? Percent daily value of protein? Biological value? If you look up the source of this (http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/HG72/hg72_2002.pdf), the only item listed in percents is %water. According to the aforementioned link, adult males need between 45-63 grams (43-50 if you’re female) of protein daily, more if you’re pregnant or lactating. I challenge all of you to look through this guide and see where you stack up and where your nutrition is lacking.
